A team of BDO Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH led by Duesseldorf based partner Thorsten Schumacher has advised WKS Druckholding (Wassenberg) on the acquisition of key areas of Service & Print Group Haberbeck (Lage). The parties have agreed not disclose the purchase price.
WKS Druckholding – via certain subsidiaries – acquires the material assets of Druckhaus Haberbeck GmbH (Lage), Marktdienste Haberbeck GmbH (Lage) and ProWachter GmbH (Bietigheim-Bissigen). Insolvency proceedings had been opened regarding the assets of these companies on April 28, 2020.
Druckhaus Haberbeck GmbH produces sheet-offset, web-offset and digital printing products in large print runs for industry as well as for wholesale and retail trade. Marktdienste Haberbeck GmbH provides logistics services with a portfolio ranging from individual packaging of complex shipping orders to warehousing. ProWachter GmbH operates as a cross-media agency and sales office in southern Germany.
WKS Group is one of the leading web-offset printing groups in German-speaking Europe. With its future five web-offset production sites in Wassenberg, Essen, Felsberg, Grabfeld and Lage, WKS Group has one of the most modern machine parks with complementary machines, ideally located in Germany.
Through this acquisition, WKS Group is expanding its range of services, which in future will include sheet-fed and digital printing, finishing, logistics and versatile cross-media services in addition to classic web-offset printing.
